Hi,
I just wanted to give you an update on Piper. He’s doing great – I’ve attached some pictures. He
loves to run (of course) and he and our black lab Chula have become best buddies and we’ve also
gotten a new chocolate lab puppy and Piper is great with him as well. He is very mindful and hates
it when he thinks he’s done something wrong and might get in trouble. My husband who trains
dogs, even remarked at how easily he was potty trained. I was amazed at how quickly he learned
to go to our back door and then walk to me or Kristin and back to the back door again to be let
out. And his expressions, I swear, sometimes I think it’s a little too human – he is hilarious. We
are really enjoying him and have joined a “border collie playgroup” here in Austin and he met his
half brother Truffles. I love him to pieces and I know he loves me too because he gives the best
hugs EVER! Thanks and hope all is well @ Lake Buchanan

Jim,
I thought you might enjoy this.
I finally got Megan on sheep. She's hard-wired
to go in one direction and gets sticky-eyed on
one sheep, but we're working on it....

Jim,
I took some pictures of Sally last night from
my cell phone. We are really enjoying her, and
she has energized Chloe like we hoped. Just
wanted to give you an update, she is a great
addition to our family.

Jim,
Here are a few pictures of our puppy Maddie
we picked up from you Feb 7th. She is a blast
and keeps us on our toes!
Thanks again!

Dear Jim,
I thought I would send you an update and pictures of our Border Collie "Kona." He was in todays
local newspaper in his first Frisbee competition. The web site is http://www.amarillo.com/ and his
pictures are the 4th and 7th pictures in the slide show. (the 7th picture subtitle name was an error.
This picture wasn't Toby but instead Kona). He came in forth place. He is familiar with his soft
frisbee and not the regulation type. This will be easily corrected for the next competition. He was
definetly the quickest (despite his size) and his catching style w/ twists & jumps was absolutley
unmatched according to many spectators at the event. He continues to excel at agility but has not
competed thus far in these events. Thanks again for breeding the best Border Collie(s) I have
ever seen. We love them dearly.
Sincerely,
Kona, Amarillo, TX May 18, 2009
Hi Jim!
I thought you could use this photo on your website.
It's Truffles (Roxie) after her herding class.
She's awesome at that, by the way!!!
Hugs to yall!
