Jim,

Just a note to thank you for a wonderful border
collie! Shelby (from Jan. 20, 07 Belle & Ritter
litter) is doing wonderfully.  She is a very sweet
and calm dog, and a wonderful friend.  I have
included a few recent pictures of her.

Our Sam (born Madison) is growing up.  She is
now eight months old.  Her “job” is playing ball
right now.  We took the attached picture (after
a number of tries) of her jumping to catch the
ball – she’s very good at it.  We plan to take
her to agility when she is old enough.

We are truly pleased with Sam and how she has
changed our lives is positive ways.  Kendra is
already talking about a second border collie.

Hope all is well.  Al the best.

Hi Jim,

We thought you’d enjoy these photos of Chester and Scout enjoying the huge snowfall over the
past two days.  We watched Chester running out back with his head up and mouth open actually
catching snowflakes in his mouth and eating them.  He is definitely a snow dog.  Scout had fun
romping around with him, too.  Jeff was a little worried, though, as Chester really seemed to enjoy
the turban I wrapped up on his head.  :-0

Chester and Scout seem to be settling their differences better now.  They have an occasional
squabble over a toy or something but nothing like the night that Jeff had to intervene.  I think
Chester learned his lesson and won’t cross that line again.  He is a big cuddly baby.  He knows he’
s not supposed to sit on the two chairs in the living room so when I’m sitting on one with my feet
propped up he comes over and lays across my lap and keeps me warm.  He seems to know that its
okay with me as long as he’s keeping me warm…and he keeps one foot on the floor as if to show
me he’s not really on the chair.

Hope you are warm in Texas.  We miss the nice weather and nice people there.
